Carving Care:

First thing you need to be aware of is that all carvings will crack to various degrees. If it is winter do NOT bring carving indoors, or it will seriously crack. If your carving is painted, use a spar varnish on it yearly, especially if it is outdoors. I use Cabots Austrailian log oil (Farm Fleet) on all my carvings, so if yours is just plain wood that is what you will want to use on it from year to year. When displaying your carving it is best to keep it up off the dirt. Check it from time to time for any intruders such as ants. If you suspect something, spray it with WD40. That will send them running. Thank you and enjoy your carving. Blessings Sherry Lou
